This project is a multidisciplinary interactive performance piece where the character Fringe (primarily played by actor Saga Talik)  starts out as a very lonely and somewhat self destructive person who decides that it s finally time do do something about it. There after, the long process of finding friends and community starts. One clumsy attempt after the other Fringe's life starts to change.

 

The end goal of this project is to have an exhibition where you will be able to follow Fringes life as they challenge themselves to try many new experiences, such as dating, clubbing, going festivals and much more through a photo series made over a few years, thoroughly exploring the different stages of building a community around yourself from scratch.

Most of Fringes story is improvised on the spot by the actor and the people we meet. As an example we made a Tinder profile for Fringe and met up with strangers that had absolutely no ties to the project prior (they were informed of the project, we try not to be creepy) and had them direct the "date" the way they wanted it to go. One of the goals we have by doing this project in public spaces is that we want to create a very intimate and tactile art experience that anyone can interact with/ co-create with us on their own terms (if they want) . We also want to promote meetings and interactions between people that would otherwise not happen if the big weird purple monster wasn't in the room to bond over.​
